Journalism Funding Partners
Thank you for visiting the Journalism Funding Partners website. We’re glad you’re here and look forward to the chance to explain our important mission.
Journalism Funding Partners (JFP) is a non-profit, independent entity with a simple goal: To help news organizations serve their fundamental role of informing citizens about their communities.
To accomplish this, our board and volunteers work directly with newsrooms, foundations, philanthropic entities, individual donors and members of the public to adopt or create new ways to fund the continued creation of high-quality journalism at local news organizations.
The rise of innovative funding in journalism in recent years has supported exceptional work in investigative journalism, in-depth reporting and narrative storytelling, much of it by national news organizations. JFP is aimed at extending this to local journalism of that same caliber and impact.
Preserving the high standards of journalistic excellence and independence found in newsrooms is vital to local communities. We look forward to working with you and others to find and create innovative ways to ensure it happens.
Our website goes into detail on how we’d work with you, who we are and how to get a conversation started. You’ll find contact information and forms at the bottom of each page, and the simple form for starting an application can be found here, and under the dropdown menus for the homepage and “how to reach us” page
Thank you for your visit and your interest in the institute. We look forward to working with you.
